The Ultimate Spring Cleaning Tips Guaranteed to Make Your House Spotless
This post shares spring cleaning tips to help you tackle your cleaning.

Spring has sprung, so it’s time to come out of our winter holes and prepare for the warm weather and all that goes along with it. It’s time to refresh our homes. It may not be our favorite task, but it does help us prepare for our most social season!
This post will discuss spring cleaning tip and solutions.
Spring Cleaning Tips
As you may know, I speak of organization and getting things done by viewing all tasks as having zones. Spring cleaning is no different.
*Special note, don't try to tackle spring cleaning in one weekend. Figure out what you can do and when.
We are all so busy with work and kids' schedules, so we need a plan. To reduce overwhelm, break down your spring cleaning into zones: bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, living room/den, dining room, hallways, laundry room, garage, and outdoors.
If you have any other types of rooms in your house, let them become zones as well.
Alright. Let’s get started!
Bedroom Deep Clean
Below, you will find a quick summary of what you should focus on for your deep clean, but I have an in-depth post on how to clean a bedroom which you can find right here if you want more clarity.
Steps to Cleaning Bedroom
1. Start by decluttering the bedroom. Donate anything that you don’t want anymore. This task can be hard for some people, but the goal is to get rid of things that you don’t need so you’re not wasting your time trying to find homes for them.
2. Go through your closet and drawers to figure out what you can get rid of.
Depending on the weather, this may also be the perfect time to switch seasonal clothing. If you have kids, take inventory of the sizes and clothes your kids will need for the upcoming season.
3. Next, strip the bed and clean the mattress. Give the sheets and comforter a nice hot wash. If you have curtains, this is the perfect time to clean those as well.

Clean your pillow or at least allow them to sit outside in the sun to air them out.
4. Open the window and let Mother Nature do her thing. The windows have likely been closed through the cold months, so get some fresh air in there while cleaning the room! While that smooth breeze is coming through, dust, moving from the top to bottom. Don’t forget to get moldings and corners.
5. Next, wipe down all electronics, mirrors, and countertops. Then, disinfect all switches and handles.
6. Show your floor some love. Shampoo your carpets, and give your hardwood floors a thorough cleaning.
7. Spend time cleaning the inside and outside of your windows. Remember to remove your screens and clean them using a scrub brush, soap, and water. While you’re waiting for them to dry, clean the window track.
8. Wipe down any waste baskets.

How to Clean a Bathroom
Let’s be honest: No one wants to clean it, but everyone loves a clean bathroom. So much bacteria is sitting in your bathroom, so it’s important to take the time to sanitize it. Plus, with proper care, tile can look beautiful for a long time.
As with any room, declutter first! Go through the closet and vanity and get rid of expired products or ones that you didn’t love. Don’t hold onto a lotion that you don’t use simply because you bought it! I know I’m not the only one guilty of this.
This is also a perfect time to replace hygiene items like toothbrushes and loofahs.
Once that’s finished, grab a scrub brush and cleaner and scrub down the shower and bathtub area. Since this is spring cleaning, you’ll want to make sure to attack all of the mildew that can grow along the grout line.
Finish off the shower by cleaning or replacing the shower curtain or wiping down the glass enclosure.

Move on to the toilet by disinfecting the entire toilet. Don’t forget to clean the lid hinges—they can have buildup.
Finish with the vanity, cabinets, and floors.
Give the entire vanity and cabinets a cleaning and polish. Then, vacuum and mop the floors. If you have a rug, throw it in the wash or put it outside to freshen.

Spring Cleaning Tips and Tricks
Break it down: Divide the checklist into smaller, more manageable tasks. Don’t expect to do this over a weekend. If you’re a busy family, allot time each weekend to tackle different tasks.
Involve the whole family: Make it a team effort! There is nothing better for our children than a few chores! Get everyone involved in some capacity. It lightens your load while also teaching teamwork and responsibility.
Don't forget safety: Wear gloves and use appropriate cleaning products. Rubber gloves are the best invention ever!
Consider hiring out: Time is money. If you’re working a full-time job and running around with the kids’ activities, figure out what you can hire someone else to do. Why not hire someone else to do the lint vents? Get quotes on a spring cleaning for leaves.
I know this may seem like a ton of work, but it keeps our houses in good shape for our families. Don’t get overwhelmed! Break it into smaller tasks and get to work!
