Easter Brunch Ideas That Are Stress Free with This Plan

Check out these Easter brunch ideas that will take the stress out of having your family over in the morning!

Easter brunch

What makes brunch perfect is that it can be as casual or fancy as you would like it, but what’s the best way to serve your guests?

Spring is coming, and so is Easter. It’s the perfect holiday to celebrate in the earlier part of the day. The warmer weather allows for more outdoor activity. Which makes it perfect for an Easter egg hunt (something you can host along with your Easter brunch), but the worry about how to host so many people at your house early in the day might be stressful.

No worries! With this guide, you’re going to host the next Easter brunch like a pro with these Easter brunch ideas.

Where to Begin when Hosting a Brunch

I know you’re busy. Sometimes holidays can feel overwhelming because we already have so little time in our day to get done the regular daily chores, so I’m here to help you make it easy.

Plan Ahead

First, create a guest list. Is it only adults or are there kids on that list?

If there are kids, be sure to include fun things for them to do, like an easter egg hunt. You can ask them to bring their own baskets for the hunt and have a few on hand for those who forget. It doesn’t have to cost a fortune! Go to the Dollar Tree and get Easter baskets or Easter bags for them to use.

Plan to have a movie set up for them to watch while they’re looking over what they scored during the egg hunt. This will give the parents some time to come together while the kids are watching the movie.

Are you only inviting adults? Take time before your brunch to plan a playlist of music that will keep your event upbeat.

Think about whether or not you want to play games with your adult crowd. All decisions should be made ahead of time.

Easter Brunch Buffet

The easiest way to feed a crowd of people is by doing it buffet style. It gives you the chance to set everything up before people arrive, so you can actually enjoy your company.

What makes a buffet perfect is that your guests can choose foods they want and graze throughout the duration of your party. Plus, with a little pre-planning, your presentation can be beautiful.

Where to Set Up a Buffet

Find a space that you can designate for your buffet. If you have an island in your kitchen, this could be the perfect spot. If you don’t have that kind of space, no worries! Try placing few folding tables in a line against a wall in your home.

For example, in past parties, I’ve placed two folding tables in the den, dressed them with tablecloths before setting up everything else when hosting bigger events at my house.

If you are tight on space, this is a great option. Wherever you put the food, your guests will follow. If you know you’re going to need access to your kitchen, then set up your buffet in the den!

How to  Set Up a Buffet

Always keep in mind the flow of traffic and HOW people will move through the buffet: first, they grab their plates, so that should be at the start of the line.

My Biggest Tip: Think in Stations.

Which foods are quick grab-and-go? Which foods will be where someone places a plate down to build something (like butter a bagel or make a sandwich)?

Placing all of the quick grab-and-go in the front will help accommodate the flow. If you have stations that take longer, think about putting them closer to the end or by themselves.

For example, if you’re serving foods like rolls or bagels, this can be its own station or near the end since people often stand and apply butter, cream cheese, or jam on the bagel. You should pre-cut all rolls and bagels to make it easier for your guests.

Place the flatware, napkins, and any condiments at the end of your buffet. This also keeps traffic moving.

Remember, the best part about brunch is that you can lay out everything before your guests arrive.

If you can, add crates or pedestals or even small bouquets of flowers, an Easter bunny statue or put plastic eggs around to add height and dimension to your display.

Easter Brunch Food

All in all, what you choose to make for your Easter brunch is going to be based on what your family loves, but here are some suggestions that will make hosting your brunch easy and filling! Create a flow of stations based on what you’re serving.

Main Offerings

Deli Station: Order typical deli selections like turkey, ham, roast beef, salami, etc. Don’t forget to get sliced cheese. Then, add different types of rolls, croissants, and bagels along with tomato slices, mayonnaise, mustard, etc. This is the perfect location for a bagel station, too.

Eggs: You can scramble eggs before people arrive and placed them the oven on the warmer setting. Another great option is to make an egg casserole dish that combines eggs, cheese, and meats. Guests will go crazy for this.

Breakfast Meats: Cook up bacon and sausage for your guests to choose from.

Yogurt Station: Grab a large container of vanilla-flavored yogurt, granola, shredded coconut, fresh berries, and pretty much whatever else you think people would love to add to their yogurt. If you are going to offer a yogurt station, grab little cups for guest to assemble their parfaits in.

Sides

Fresh Fruit: Everyone loves fruit! Not only is it a light option for those who don’t want anything heavy, but it adds so much fresh color to your spring-inspired table!

Assorted Croissants, Muffins, and Pastries: A variety of sweet and savory pastries will satisfy everyone’s cravings. You can leave these closer to the end of the table where the deli and bagel station are.

Easter Desserts

Don’t forget about dessert!

Go for small petite options so that everyone can grab a variety! Great options include cookie trays, mini cakes or mini cupcakes. If you’re looking for really easy dessert options, try some in this post.

Drink Station

A drink station should stand alone and away from the food if possible. This will help make sure that your buffet area isn’t jam-packed with people.

Giving space between your serving areas will help create a more pleasant experience for your friends and family.

Things to consider include whether you plan on offering alcohol for your event or not. No matter what you choose, below are beverage suggestions for you to consider.

Coffee and Tea: Set up an area with the appropriate cups, sugar, and creamer. Consider flavored creamers or syrups if you want to add a little something special. You should also include a few hot chocolate packets for any child guests.

Alcohol: Grab some champagne or prosecco and create a station for mimosas or Bellinis. You should serve the Strawberry Vodka Prosecco cocktail. It’s perfect for a brunch.

Other beverages: It’s brunch, so you must offer the basics like apple juice, orange juice, and cranberry juice. Both the orange and cranberry can be used for cocktails as well, so buy more. If you do plan to have little kids at your event, you can add milk and chocolate syrup, so they can choose between regular or chocolate milk.

Hosting Easter Brunch Should be Fun

By planning ahead, you can create an Easter brunch that everyone loves-especially you! Remember, brunch can be as simple or as intricate as you want it to be. So, take advantage of the type of event you’re hosting. Brunch buffets are the perfect opportunity to order and buy many of the buffet items on your table

If you choose, the only foods you need to cook up are the eggs, bacon, and sausage.

Sure, you can be the one who bakes all of the muffins and slices all of the fruit, but you don’t have to! Not one of your guests is going to judge you if you served bakery muffins versus homemade muffins. The choice is yours to make.

Your guests are only there because they love you and want to create memories with you!

Happy Easter from my family to yours! I hope it’s a day filled with love and great memories!
