Easter Brunch Ideas That Are Stress Free with This Plan

This post is all about Easter ideas for Brunch.

Easter brunch

Spring is coming, and so is Easter. It’s the perfect holiday to celebrate earlier in the day. You have warmer weather which allows for more outdoor activity. This makes it perfect for an Easter egg hunt (something you can host along with your Easter brunch). What makes brunch perfect is that it can be as casual or fancy as you would like it, but what’s the best way to serve your guests? Read on to find out.

This post will explain the best Easter ideas for Brunch.

Where to Begin when Hosting a Brunch

I know you're busy. Sometimes holidays can feel overwhelming because we already have so little time in our day to get done the regular daily chores, so I'm here to help you make it easy.

First, create a guest list. Is it only adults or are there kids on that list?

If there are kids, be sure to include fun things for them to do, like an easter egg hunt. You can ask them to bring their own baskets for the hunt and have a few on hand for those who forget, or you can go to the Dollar Tree and get Easter baskets or Easter bags for them to use.

Plan to have a movie set up for them to watch while they’re looking over what they scored during the egg hunt. This will give the parents some time to come together while the kids are watching the movie.

If it’s only adults, plan a playlist of music to keep your event upbeat. Do you want to play games with them? All decisions should be made ahead of time.

Easter Brunch Buffet

The easiest way to feed a crowd of people is by doing it buffet style. It gives you the chance to set everything up before people arrive, so you can enjoy your company.

Your guests can select the foods they want and always go back for seconds. Plus, with a little pre-planning, your presentation can be beautiful.

Where to Set Up a Buffet

Find a space that you can designate for your buffet. If you have an island in your kitchen, this may be the perfect spot, but you aren’t limited. Try placing a folding table or two in any space that you know can accommodate it.

For example, I’ve lined up two folding tables in the den and put tablecloths on them before setting up everything else when hosting bigger events at my house.

Since I needed access to the kitchen and couldn’t have everyone in there, I moved where the food went. Seriously, your guests follow the food!

How to  Set Up a Buffet

Keep in mind the flow of traffic and HOW people would move through the line: first, they grab their plates, so that should be at the start of the line.

Then, have all of the foods lined up that are quick to grab. You can even pre-cut anything that might slow down the works (like bagels).

Think in stations. Which foods are quick grab-and-go? Which foods will be where someone places a plate down to build something (like butter a bagel or make a sandwich)?

Placing all of the quick grab-and-go in the front will help accommodate the flow. If you have stations that take longer, think about putting them closer to the end or by themselves.

For example, if you’re serving something like rolls or bagels, this can be its own station or near the end since people often stand and apply butter, cream cheese, or jam on the bagel.

Place the flatware, napkins, and any condiments at the end of the table. This too keeps traffic moving.

Remember, the best part about brunch is that you can lay out everything before your guests arrive. Use nice platters to lay out your food.

If you can, add crates or pedestals or even small bouquets of flowers, an Easter bunny statue or put plastic eggs around to add height and dimension to your display.

Easter Brunch Food

All in all, what you choose to make for your Easter brunch is going to be based on what your family loves, but here are some suggestions that will make hosting your brunch easy and filling!

Main Offerings

Deli StationOrder typical deli selections like turkey, ham, roast beef, salami, etc. Don’t forget to get sliced cheese. Then, you can offer different types of rolls, croissants, and bagels along with tomato slices, mayonnaise, mustard, etc. You can also keep your bagel station here.

Eggs: This could be eggs scrambled before people arrive and placed in the oven on the warmer option. It could also be an egg casserole dish that has more than just the eggs. People love these.

Breakfast Meats: Cook up bacon and sausage for your guests to choose from.

Yogurt Station: Grab a large container of vanilla-flavored yogurt, granola, shredded coconut, fresh berries, and pretty much whatever else you think people would love to add to their yogurt. If you are going to offer a yogurt station, be sure to get little cups for them to assemble their parfaits in.

Sides

Fresh Fruit: Everyone loves fruit! Not only is it a light option for those who don’t want anything heavy, but it adds so much fresh color to your spring-inspired table!

Assorted Croissants, Muffins, and Pastries: A variety of sweet and savory pastries will satisfy everyone's cravings. You can leave these closer to the end of the table where the deli and bagel station are.

Easter Desserts

Don’t forget about dessert!

Go for small petite options so that everyone can grab a variety! Great options include cookie trays, mini cakes or mini cupcakes. If you’re looking for really easy dessert options, try some in this post.

Drink Station

A drink station should stand alone and away from the food if possible. This will help make sure that your buffet area isn’t jam-packed with people.

Giving space between your serving areas will help create a more pleasant experience for your friends and family.

Things to consider include whether you plan on offering alcohol for your event or not. No matter what you choose, below are beverage suggestions for you to consider.

Coffee and Tea: If you plan on this, set up an area with the appropriate cups, sugar, and creamer. Consider flavored creamers if you want to add a little something. You can also include a few hot chocolate packets for the kids!

Alcohol: Grab some champagne or prosecco and create a station for mimosas or Bellinis. You can also serve the Strawberry Vodka Prosecco cocktail.

Other beverages: It’s brunch, so you must offer the basics like apple juice, orange juice, and cranberry juice. Both the orange and cranberry can be used for cocktails as well, so buy more. If you have little kids, you can add milk and chocolate syrup, so they can choose between regular milk or chocolate milk.

Hosting Easter Brunch Should be Fun

By planning ahead, you can create an Easter brunch that everyone loves-especially you! A brunch can be as simple or as intricate as you want it to be.

Take advantage of the type of event you're hosting. How do you do this? Order and buy many of the buffet items on your table.

The only items you will need to cook up are the eggs, bacon, and sausage.

Sure, you can be the one who bakes all of the muffins and slices all of the fruit, but you don’t have to! The choice is yours to make.

No one is going to hold it against you if you get everything done already! They are there to create memories with you!

Happy Easter from my family to yours! I hope it's a day filled with love and great memories!
